Greg Robertson creates unique sculptures and indoor and outdoor water features using recycled stone from the granite counter top industry. Much of his inspiration comes from the mountain surroundings of Santa Fe / Pecos, New Mexico, where he has his fabrication studio. Many forms are abstract, and sometimes incorporate mixed media such as blown glass and metal. Because he is using slab granite, the choices of color are more numerous than most sculptors use. Granite comes from over 30 countries, and the combination of color and pattern are seemingly endless. Greg likes to create pieces using the details in a specific stone, but also designs elegant and beautiful installations from his own mind and of his clients.

The artist lays down as postulate that sculpture is an intuition, a vision, and subsequently a mental projection in the material, in stoon, or wood, an incarnation of the idea into natural material. The Boutros's sculpture does not have an immediate figurative significance derived from natural form - it is more an evocation of life with its tensions, spaces and rhythms. the sculptures - the evocation of the sensation of wind, its fluidity and movement.

The qualities inherant in the origin of the material are revealed through a compelling drive to modify nature. In this work the subject matter becomes a symbol of the symbiotic relationship of the sculpted and the sculptor. A symbol of hope that humanity can find a balance and reconciliation with nature and our drive to create.

After having initially joined, at the age of 18, the "Companions" in the "Tour de France", to train and work as a stonemason and carver, Jean-Luc Rouquié settled his work-site in the South of France, in Floressas (Lot), the village were he was born. He works the stone according to the style of the house itself and your own wish and taste : traditional farmhouse, Roman, Gothic, Renaissance, 17th or 18th century, Louis XV, but also modern and contemporary design in polished marble. He mostly works with natural warm-coloured ochre-beige limestone from the Lot, Dordogne or Charente quarries. He creates, carves and sets all types of fireplaces, staircases, All his creations are hand crafted and made to measure.

Stone is my first-choice medium for the elements in many of my installations, although I do utilize other materials that are cast, forged, fabricated and, as always, reserve the right to change my mind to suit the direction of my artwork I have been working with stone for about 40 years, producing numerous series utilizing figurative minimal elements; many of these are displayed on the Tom Rudd sculpture pages of this web site.

As New Zealand stone sculptor I am largely involved with capturing moments of movement in stone. Each panel presents a living organic flow that ever changes with the light. The essence of bringing Oamaru Stone to life is by sculpting light, the stone is just used as a projection to define the way light flows and floods, often revealing many moods within ambient illumination. A core theme to these works is the expresstion of growth and potential and often with forms so characteristc of this land yet expressive of us all, the spirit of the land in a sense .... A background of bonecarving, labyrinths, broad connections with nature feed the creativity and chisels towards this breathing of light into stone.
