I'm a Dutch sculptor and this website is my gallery. I like to work with stones people throw away. Give them a new destination. I find those pieces of natural stones on the streets or in containers. My sculptures are clear and simple, mostly abstract.

Typografie in Natuursteen Typography in Stone. After studying Graphic an Typographic Design at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague Sacha de Leeuw started a workshop in Amsterdam in 1994, specialised in lettercarving in stone. It has not been easy convincing the Dutch that there is an alternative for sandblasted computer-typeface-lettering in granite, but change is slowly but surely coming.
