Canadian Jade
I've always wanted to play with some jade, but never had the money to buy
some. But recently a small boulder I carved and polished was identified by 2
gem and mineral fanatics as a form of desirable jade!
I've been digging through the oversized pile of landscaping rocks at a local
gravel pit the a few years now. Picking up interesting shapes and textured
stone and throwing then into the truck for future use keeps me out of
trouble. The gravel pit is on a terminal moraine left here by the last
glacial visitor from Canada. After calming down my heart rate and drying off
my sweaty palms (is this what gold fever is like?) I went through my pile
and found more. The gravel pit charges $9.00 a ton, when I load myself, so
if I disappear from the list for long periods of time you will know why!
I'll send picture as soon as figure out how, or my wift has pity on me.
