statuary carrara location in the UK
Hi I'm new to the list. I've been carving for 6 years and for the last two years I've been carving carrara "c" grade marble that I buy from a local stone mason. I'd really like to carve some statuary quality carrara marble but can't seem to find anyone who sells it in the UK. Does anyone out there Know where I can get some ? I've recently got back from Florence where I was told that pietrasanta was the place to go to buy marble, But it's a long drive from England and I'm not sure whether when I get there I will find anywhere I can buy statuary marble, can anybody give me any advice - would it be easier to fly out there and get some marble shipped back for example ?
