Idea for a mass meeting.
Hello folks, We do not need a server for the communication aspect, just for
Yahoos voice option is OK for 3-4 people but it stinks if you try to
conference past that number. So...I suggest Skype for any voice
transmissions, it works just like a phone and it is hands free, Yahoo is not
as clear and it's hands free option is not as good as Skype. The max is 4 +
host so we can get 5 people conferencing on Skype. Text conferences on Yahoo
can be HUGE, so we can all be on that one single text conference. If we end
up with more people we can rotate between voice conferences on Skype so
everybody can mingle, again using text on Yahoo to manage the rotation.
These programs run great together. We could make it very enjoyable by giving
everyone in attendance 1 minute to talk. We sign in on yahoo messenger
conference useing text and then build a pecking order list. If we have 5
people, we run in 5 minute intervals. Our computers should be synced time
wise anyhow so we just assign everyone 2 digits 0-9, 0 and 5 for example. We
just keep rotating and we all can text in hyperlinks to servers containing
the art on Yahoo while using Skype for the voice part. Easy and very secure,
skype is encrypted, and Yahoo is policed very well. Oh btw yahoo has a cool
little sketch pad that is fun too. Easy, file transfers are available also
on Yahoo.
