YES! If one is going to abstract from a human figure then it is
extremely helpful to know how that figure is constructed and
articulated. Some grounding in anatomy and bio-mechanics is essential
to being able to create an abstract form which instantly conveys the
idea of a figure or portion of a figure in space or motion. Oscar, you
have hit upon one of my pet peeves - thanks :)
