OK - my turn ...
My role in all this is limited to being your current
list moderator and the webmaster for Learning Stone.
I live on my faltering wits in fin-de-siècle London as a
freelance lecturer, trainer and consultant in research
methodology, resource ecology, biostatistics, information
technology and web design - that sort of thing.
I am a visiting lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe,
and occasionally at the the University of Birmingham in
the UK. Most of my training work is in Africa.
Nearly everything I know about sculpture and stone
(which is very little) I learnt from my good friend
Hannah, and her other good friends. The rest I picked up
off the street in Harare, where I lived for several
years.
I am one of the few non-practising members of this email
group. I attempted stone carving just once, but the
process and the result were so embarrassing, both to
myself and innocent bystanders, that I resolved to stick
to what I already know.
