Introducing myself

  Dear members,

  The list moderator tells me there are several hundred members
  of this group - but he doesn't know anything about you, except
  your email addresses.

  I'm curious. I would love to know who everybody is, and how
  you work with stone.

  I would like to invite members to send in a short (50 to 100
  words) introduction, something like this -

  My name is Hannah Sofaer. I'm a sculptor. I live on the Isle
  of Portland, England. I have been fascinated by the
  environment of Portland ever since I was first visited in
  1983. Now I work for the Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust.
  For me, learning about stone is learning about the processes
  of life itself.
